Revisions help to track versions of documents and assets in AssetWise. AssetWise does not allow two documents with the same Prefix, Middle, and Revision combination.

Revisions cannot be created unless the status of the first revision is "Approved". In Asset Lifecycle Information Management, revisions can be created via the Settings menu:
